Updated: May 2

Your guide to Broken Bow / Hochatown / Beaver's Bend in the Fall!

Fall Leaves on the Mountain Fork River

Fall is such a magical time in Hochatown / Broken Bow / Beaver's Bend State Park, OK!

The beautiful changing leaves of the Kiamichi Mountains are absolutely stunning!

When is the best time to visit?

This photo was taken early November, when leaves had just begun to change! Cooler temperatures in November and December make for great hiking weather.

There are a few resources that can help you plan your trip according to Fall foliage! The 2023 Fall Foliage Map is the ultimate visual planning guide to the annual progressive changing of the leaves. While no tool can be 100% accurate, this tool is meant to help travelers better time their trips to have the best opportunity of catching peak color each year.

According to this year's Fall Foliage map, mid-November into early December should be peak color in the Beaver's Bend area. However, early November is just as stunning!

Fall is such a magical time at the cabin! Being outside in crisp cool air, sitting by the campfire looking at the stars and roasting s'mores, having Sasquatch come for a surprise visit, or just simply enjoying the beauty of the outdoors!
